Kathy came to Muscle IQ with a lot of pain and discomfort in her knees. By the time she finished, she was, in her words, "not only pain free, but walking more confidently and my balance had improved."

That is the outcome worth leading with. Pain free. More confident on her feet. Steadier.

In Her Own Words

"When I first started my therapy there, I had a lot of pain and discomfort in my knees. Not only did my knees improve considerably with the treatment I received, but by the time I had finished my course I was not only pain free, but walking more confidently and my balance had improved."

Why Knee Pain Can Affect More Than the Knee

Your nervous system controls the strength of your muscles. When a knee hurts, that pain can turn the muscle tone dial down in the muscles around it. Weak muscles do not protect the joint well, so other tissues pick up extra strain, and that strain can keep the pain going. Pain can cause muscle weakness, and muscle weakness can cause pain.

The muscles around the knee also help keep you steady. When they are turned down, walking can feel less sure and balance can suffer. That may be part of why confidence on your feet often returns as strength does.

Find the Cause. Restore the Strength.

That is why an evaluation at Muscle IQ takes time. Our physical therapists test strength muscle by muscle to find which muscles are weak and what may be holding them back. As muscle tone comes back up, strain on painful tissue can come down. You can read more about how Muscle IQ approaches knee pain.

Every patient is different, and recovery looks different for each person. But if your knees have been holding you back, you can get better. Pain can go away. Strength is coming.
